Dates to the 1940s and 50s. In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or crazing. Minimal signs of age and use.
Roslyn China was originally a trade name used by Reid and Company, which operated from 1913 to 1946 in Longton, Staffordshire. They changed their name to Roslyn China in 1946 and continued to operate until 1963.
Colclough made a mark in the history of antique bone china. Ex-mayor Herbert Colclough started his pottery firm in 1897. Interestingly, Colclough also opened up the market by selling individual pieces for ordinary people to gradually collect over time. After many acquisitions and mergers, it became the giant Ridgway Potteries in 1955. They all became part of the Royal Doulton in the 1970s. Colclough ceased production in 1996.
