A pretty vintage floral coffee/teapot by Sutherland. Decorated with sweet pink and purple flowers, and gold gilding that is still intact. It holds about 3-4 cups. A lovely little teapot to add to your collection.
The listing is for 1x teapot. High quality fine bone china. Made in England. The backstamp was used from c1947+. In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or crazing. Tiny rub to the gold on the finial and spout.
Sutherland was a trade name of maker Hudson and Middleton Ltd, based in Longton, Staffordshire. It also traded in the Delphine name. The family-owned business had earlier origins in the 1875, before becoming Hudson and Middleton in 1941. It was sold in 1973 and changed hands thereafter.
