Very pretty baby blue Colclough in the Ballet tea cup series. This particular shade is a favourite of mine. It's such a happy pastel colour and complements the gold gilding throughout. (Colour is closest to photos with purplish pink background). The set is really lovely to serve some tea. Makes a great gift too!

Colclough made a mark in the history of antique bone china. Ex-mayor Herbert Colclough started his pottery firm in 1897. Interestingly, not only was he the first to produce dinnerware and chinaware, Colclough also opened up the market by selling individual pieces for ordinary people to gradually collect over time. After many acquisitions and mergers, it became the giant Ridgway Potteries in 1955. They all became part of the Royal Doulton in the 1970s. Colclough ceased production in 1996.
Important Note: Please expect condition of vintage and antique items to naturally have signs of age and use, unless it's stated otherwise.
