Pretty teacup trio by Minton in a pattern called Petunia. With lovely gentle colours of pink and grey and a distinctive angular handle. There are a matching teapot and a creamer set

The teacup has a mark 'designed by John Wadsworth', who was a prolific British ceramicist. He was one of two joint designers of Minton's successful and now collectible Art Nouveau 'Secessionist' range (c.1901-1920). Wadsworth left Mintons in 1915.

Dimensions:

High quality bone china. Made in England. The backstamp was used since 1951. In very good vintage condition. No cracks, chips or crazing.

Minton was a major English ceramics manufacturer, founded in 1793. Minton merged with Royal Doulton in 1968.
