Delightful 2-cup teapot by Mintons in a pattern called Petunia. I love its shape and unusual handle.  Gorgeous, isnt it? Fabulous condition and must have been well kept by its previous owner. It is a lovely teapot for collectors or simply for your own use!

There are a matching teacup trio and creamer set.

The base of this 1950s teapot has a mark 'designed by John Wadsworth', who was a prolific British ceramicist. He was one of two joint designers of Minton's successful and now collectible Art Nouveau 'Secessionist' range (c.1901-1920). Wadsworth left Mintons in 1915. I would like to think this teapot's unusual character is a little reminiscent of that range.

High quality bone china. Made in England. The backstamp dates to the 1950s. In excellent vintage condition. No cracks, chips or crazing.

Dimensions
Approx. 14cm tall and 16cm wide (spout to handle)

Mintons was a major English ceramics manufacturer, founded in 1793. Mintons merged with Royal Doulton in 1968.⁣

Important Note: Please expect condition of vintage and antique items to naturally have signs of age and use, unless it's stated otherwise.
